Must be one of the strongest (and toughest) leathers available for bag-making. I’ve been working on a mans’ satchel, something that could be thrown around, or at least not treated that gently , yet still hold its own in the city. This bag is made from three pieces of buffalo hide, all sewn together by hand using two long ribbons of veg tan leather. I love the fact that the only linen thread used was to secure the handles and straps in place. However…… as a result of the leather being super tough and super strong, it also makes for a not particularly light bag- personally I love it.
